Image Editor Toolbars

The PhotoDocs Image Editor allows you to perform custom manual processes on a page, and to view the results of these processes on the page and its associated text. The Image Editor Toolbars allow you to perform these actions.

Manual Process Toolbar

The Manual Process Toolbar in the Image Editor contains tools that allow you to customize processes to a particular page.

Page Display Toolbar

The Page Display toolbar allows you to adjust the display of the image currently shown in the Page Display Pane.

Item Function
Pan Tool Pan tool: Allows you to pan around the current page.
Zoom in: Zooms in on the current page.
Zoom out: Zooms out on the current page.
Fit Width Fit width: Changes the zoom level so the page fits horizontally.
Fit Height Fit height: Changes the zoom level so the page fits vertically.
Rotate left: Rotates the page counterclockwise 90 degrees.
Rotate Right Rotate right: Rotates the page clockwise 90 degrees.

Page Navigation Toolbar

When you have multiple pages open in the Image Editor, the Page Navigation Toolbar allows you to select which image to view in the Page Display Pane.

Item Function
Previous Page Previous page: Selects the previous page from the list of pages that were selected when you opened the Image Editor.
Next page Next page: Selects the next page from the list of pages that were selected when you opened the Image Editor.
Page count Page count: Displays the number of the current page within the group of selected pages. Type in a number to jump to that page.
First page First page: Selects the first page in the current group of pages.
Last page Last page: Selects the last page in the current group of pages.

OCR Text Toolbar

With the OCR Text Toolbar, you can adjust the OCR settings for a particular page. For example, you could reprocess a particular page with the OCR speed set to Accuracy, even though all the other pages in the Workspace were processed on the Speed setting. You can also adjust the image with the actions in the Manual Process Toolbar, and then perform OCR again.

OCR Setting Function
Language:Optimizes the OCR process for the selected language. Pull down the arrow on the right to see a full list of available languages. The buttons will display the most recently selected languages.
Optimization - Speed: Reduces the amount of time it takes to OCR. Works best on documents with clear text.
Optimization - Standard: Strikes a balance between speed and accuracy. Works on documents with average text.
OCR - Accuracy setting Optimization - Accuracy: Increases OCR accuracy on documents with less clear text.
Decolumnize Decolumnize: Convert columns of text into one long column.
